Hands down going to the beach in Maine with my sister. We always had a blast. I have lots of fond summer memories in New England... especially on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket. I hope to live on the Cape someday when I'm rich and famous!! A girl can dream right???? PS>I have NEVER won any blog candy so you better pick me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes! I've lived lots of summers, and I can't remember any that weren't good, so it's hard to choose. I'll pick the summer I got my driver's license and spent most of my spare time "dragging the gut" in my small home town. I'm still friends with them after all these years.

My best summer would have to be last year when my son was born. He was born a few days after the 4th of July. That will always be my most memorable summer..! :)

Hi!

I spent most of my summers until I was 16 with my Nana and Grampa visiting family members and going to yard sales and flea markets. Lots of ice cream and staying up late and sleeping in. :)

My best summer would have to be a couple of summers ago when I was lucky enough to be asked to join my son's french class on a trip to Framce. I have memories that will last forever!

My favorite summer vacation memories from being a kid was all the family vacations- we took one every summer to my grandparents and went to Cedar Point, Kennywood, baseball games, just spent time with family. My favorite summer memory as an adult. Being able to have the summers off so I can go on mission trips. I have been to Greece three times in the last 5 years and this Friday I leave for Romania. Such a blessing.

Fabulous blog candy! My fav. summer memory was when I was about 6 years old and my parent's got an above-ground pool. They filled it up and the water was 58 degrees, but I had to swim! My lips turned purple and I was shivering, but I wouldn't get out because I was having so much fun! Thanks!

Probably the year we took our 3 kids on the Mail Boat ride up the Rogue River in Gold Beach, Oregon. Beautiful country & such a great time. Lots of wildlife and undisturbed natural beauty.

My favorite summer memories all involve my summers playing in a Scottish pipe band! I've been doing it since the late 70s, still going strong, and we compete all summer, traveling up and down the East Coast. A couple of summers have involved trips to Scotland as well. Tons of fun!

I really need to BUY that cute little birdy! I never seem to win him...love the set too!
My favourite summer memory is from my childhood, when my brother and I used to gutter race leaf boats down the street (we lived on a hill) after a rain storm.
I still love summer rain storms! Although now we live on a very flat prairie street. Not nearly as much fun!
Thanks for the giveaway!

My favorite summer memory has to be all the years I spent at Grindstone Lake Bible Camp (12 yrs). I must have loved it to go back year after year, to work there for 6 years and to send my kids there the past 3 summers.

My best summer memory is my 15th Birthday :) That day I met my boyfriend, LOL! To explain a little, we met online, he lived in another city, we started having a relationship while we still didn't know each other IRL ("in real life"). I remember it was the best birthday I've ever had, my first kiss was my first birthday present! *blushes* :)

Great blog! My best summer memory is swimming in the backyard pool right after getting up in the morning and the smell of the water and the morning air was wonderful.

Roller skating all summer long with Mona my bestest bud! It was a blast. We even made some matching skating skirts with material we bought with our own money. We were silly girls.

Taking my kids and my little grand daughter to the Freedom Festival fireworks in WIndsor Canada. We were gonna sit on the Detroit side so we didnt have to drive the bridge but the Detroit side was full. Hubby was off somewhere on some yacht with his boss getting smashed tho-but I didn't know it until he didnt come home until morning.Anyways, it was so hot and Chelsea was 2 and we tried to get something cold to drink and the customs guy was eating a popsicle and he was teasing her and asking if she wanted it-nasty man. We found a street vendor and got her some ice cream and it was nice and muggy and we never went again for some reason. So it sticks in my mind a lot that summer of being very hot-Chelsea graduated this week.

It was the summer I went back to Sri Lanka. It's not the "best" summer, but memorable! It was fun but quite the cultural shock (I've been away for 10 years or so!)

Thank you for the chance at great candy! I love this set, but never got it, hope mines the lucky number!

Cheers!

OK - my best summer memory is when I went tent camping (for the 1st time ever) with 7 of my girl friends and we rowed little rubber duckies (not really so little) down the French Broad River for 13 miles!!! I thought I'd never get off that river and we had a blast!!
Great blog candy!!

Hmmm! Best summer memory would have to be the carefree days when my son was younger (he's 21 now) and we would pack a picnic and spend the day at the beach or else take off for the weekend and go camping. I miss that special time now that he's all grown up.

I have so wanted this delight in life stamp set & little birdie. Thanks for offering a chance to win some great goodies.

I'm a retired teacher so as an adult, I always looked forward to summers. Summers meant sleeping in, lots of reading time, and spending time with my family at the beach. Thanks for offering such yummy blog candy.

My best summer memory is when my dad used to take me fishing. We would be out there all day. We would pack a lunch and hike through the woods and catch fish. Being from Minnesota, we had 10,000 lakes to choose from. And I think we fished on all of them.

One of my best summer memories would have to be the summer we sold my Gram's house. It had a pool in the backyard and attached to the house was a sunroom. My brother being the dare devil he was would jump off of the roof of the sun room into the pool that was about 4 feet away. Nearly gave my mom a heart attack. The pictures are amazing.

My best summer memories are days spent at grandma's house. There were lots and lots to do. And spending time with grandma was the greatest. Oh, do I miss her...

Oh...this is a fun one!! I think my best summer memory would have to be the nights at our old house out in the country when I was a little girl, we had a hammock and I would lay there all night waiting to see a shooting star. it was so quiet and peaceful there that I would fall asleep! Loved those days!!

Oh the lazy hazy days of summer as a child at grandmas. My sis and I would play croquet, swim, and ride bikes. Summer never seemed to end. Wonderful memories.

My favorite summer memory is my family's annual corn roast. All of my brothers and sisters and their families get together for a huge corn roast. We have corn on the cob (yum!) and tons of other food, and have a competition of outdoor games like croquet, bocce ball, etc.

So happy it's summer! I think my favorite summer memory is when I was growing up we lives in a cul-de-sac and our neighbors were 2 sisters very similar aged to my sister and me. We would spend many days riding our bikes, playing in the yards, hiking thru the woods... playing. It was just so FUN. No worries at all! :)

Oh to be young again:) I think the best summer of my life was when I was 15 1/2 and my dad finally allowed me to start dating. I had so much fun that summer going to the lake, drive-in movies, out to dinner, etc. Those really were the "good old days", so carefree & innocent.

When I was growing up we lived right off of the beach in Chicago - we would spend hours at the beach every summer. We lived in a high-rise apartment, so some days we would write our names really big in the sand, and then come home and see our names out there from our 30th floor balcony. Thanks for reminding me about it!

What yummy blog candy! I most enjoyed the summers where we stayed at the ocean for a week or two. I love the sounds, the peaceful setting, and the beauty. Those vacations are the ones that are most relaxing for me.

My parent had a big yacht when I was young & I enjoyed all our summers on the water. We would spend all our weekends out on the boat. Wish they still had it so the grandkids could enjoy it now.

My parents would try to take us on a road trip every summer. The most memorable (not best) was when we were going to Niagara Falls and Mom got sick half way there. We turned around and went home and got home just in time to weather the wrath of Hurricane Carol! Whew, that was close!

Thanks for the chance to win your wonderful blog candy!

I remember the 4th of July parties that my neighbors had each year. We would spend the entire day and night celebrating and having fun. The night was ended with a huge fireworks display, each year topping the previous. ~Kasey T.
